Threads and Treads

Located at Canyon Park Middle School, 23723 23rd Ave SE | Bothell, WA 98021. They are located in the portables alongside the gym.

Threads & Treads is a clothing bank providing Northshore School District students and their families as well as surrounding communities with free, quality donated clothing, shoes and accessories for school-age youth, teens, young adults, parents and others living in the home. 

This resource is open every Wednesday 3-6pm. We will be closed when the district is closed on holidays and breaks. We will also be open the first Saturday of each month starting in October from 9-12pm.

2024 Saturday dates are: 10/5, 11/2, 12/7, 1/11, 2/1, 3/1, 4/5, 5/3, 6/7

PREPARES

PREPARES is a volunteer-run program offering meaningful, local, and unconditional support to mothers, fathers, and families as they nurture their children through pregnancy and early childhood.

Services are available for families from pregnancy to a child’s fifth birthday. All families are welcome, regardless of their background.

If you are a parent or guardian in need of weekend meal kits for your child(ren) or family, please fill out the form at the above website (see the button at the bottom of the website’s page). Please Note: A password provided by an Edmonds School District employee is required. Please talk to your Family Resource Advocate.

Utility bill discounts offered for Edmonds School District families with free/reduced meals benefits

Families who qualify for free and reduced meal benefits through the Edmonds School District can take advantage of a streamlined enrollment process for an Income Qualified Discount through Snohomish County PUD.

Instead of going through a traditional income verification process, the customers can complete an application and provide a copy of their free/reduced meals approval letter and they will qualify for a 25% (if on reduced meals) or 50% (if on free meals) discount on their PUD bills.

Clothing for Children

Clothes For Kids at 16725 52nd Ave. W. Suite B is where low-income students can get clean clothing and new shoes, socks and underwear. It is open from 9 a.m. to noon Monday, Wednesday and Friday, 4:30-7:30 p.m. Tuesday and Thursday, and every other Saturday.

Students eligible for the program must attend school or live in Snohomish County or the Northshore School District. Items such as an EBT (electronic benefit transfer) card, TANF (Temporary Assistance for Needy Families) form or free or reduced lunch qualification form can be used for income verification.

Vision House

Vision House provides a temporary supportive housing program in Renton and Shoreline, Washington for families with children experiencing homelessness. Vision House also has two Diversion Centers in Renton and Burien to assist families with their immediate needs to help keep them from entering the shelter system.

They serve single mothers, single fathers and two parent families.

Washington Kids in Transition

Provides basic needs for homeless children attending school in the Edmonds School District, including food, emergency closets, and hygiene kits.

Pioneer’s Parental and Adolescent Counseling Services (PACS) provides intensive services to preserve families that are at significant risk of having children removed from the home due to abuse, neglect or severe family conflict in Island, Snohomish, Skagit and Whatcom Counties.  Our in-home counselors works with the parents and the children to identify specific barriers, challenges and needs. Each family learns to develop a plan and follow it. Goals are focused on specific issues the parents and/or youth need to address to realize positive change and move toward stability.
